Government & Law Enforcement Data Request Policy

This policy describes how Arnold Powered Access Ltd, operator of Arnold Connect, handles requests from government agencies, law enforcement authorities, regulators, courts, national security authorities and other public authorities seeking access to information processed through Arnold Connect.
1. Core principles
Requests are reviewed for legality, necessity and proportionality before disclosure. Where disclosure is legally required, Arnold Powered Access Ltd seeks to provide only the minimum information necessary.
2. Required legal review
We assess the identity and jurisdiction of the requesting authority, the stated legal basis, the scope of the request, the relevant account or records, and whether the request is legally binding and sufficiently specific.
3. Invalid or overbroad requests
Where legally permitted, we may reject, challenge, narrow or seek clarification of requests that appear unlawful, invalid, overly broad, disproportionate or outside the requesting authority’s jurisdiction.
4. Data minimisation
Any disclosure is limited to the information reasonably necessary to satisfy a valid legal requirement. Unrelated customer data, unrelated Meta Platform Data, credentials, access tokens and security information are excluded unless specifically and lawfully required.
5. Documentation
Where appropriate, internal records may include the date received, requesting authority, jurisdiction, legal basis, data requested, reviewer, decision, information disclosed and relevant legal reasoning.
6. National security and emergency requests
National security and emergency requests are assessed under the same principles of legality, necessity, proportionality, minimisation and documentation. Arnold Powered Access Ltd does not provide public authorities with unrestricted or ongoing access to Arnold Connect customer databases or systems.
